\u201c(…) After some general surveillance, we decided to make an actual entry into the Institute. Through Comrade Han\u00e1k, we created an opportunity for entry and we searched K\u00e1lm\u00e1n Benda’s, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Kenyeres’s, and Magda J\u00e1szai’s drawers; we took photographs of their letters if we found them interesting. I have made the evaluations above.<\/p>\n

I have to mention that our search was interrrupted by a small disturbance: namely, the porter of the Institute found our prolonged stay unusual. Since he could not enter through the closed doors, he found this suspicious and reported the incident to the director the following day. Kos\u00e1ry and co. consequently looked into their drawers and noticed that they had been searched by someone. Suspicion fell on Comrade Han\u00e1k, who was on-site at the time in question but he \u2013 by our instructions \u2013 rejected the accusations and demanded an apology from Kos\u00e1ry for the attacks on his person.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
