Any time the crisis of value is mentioned, we need to understand the explicit or implicit message that we are value-oriented creatures experiencing life through the attraction of ideas and values. Spiritual values include ethical values such as goodness, a virtuous life, and the sound of conscience; but also the lack of ethical values, evil and sin, which affect our lives as more than legal or psychological categories.
